Full Desc
“Transition region” refers broadly to a portion or structure extending between or connecting two portions of a tool. A transition region may be integral with one or both connected portions or may be a separate component coupled thereto. A transition region may be straight, curved, tapered, stepped, narrowed, widened, offset, angled, substantially aligned with a longitudinal axis, or otherwise configured to provide a desired structural or spatial relationship between the connected portions. In certain embodiments, a transition region may include an angle feature.
