As used herein, the term “Cargo Platform” refers to a platform configured to receive, support, carry, position, retain, organize, transport, or facilitate handling or movement of cargo. A cargo platform may be defined physically, geometrically, or functionally and need not be flat, planar, horizontal, continuous, solid, rigid, unitary, or fixed in position. A cargo platform may include one or more panels, trays, sliders, shelves, decks, racks, frames, grids, baskets, supporting surfaces, or other structures and may be fixed, movable, removable, adjustable, foldable, articulated, extendable, retractable, tiltable, rotatable, or otherwise configured. A cargo platform may be moved manually, through powered or assisted operation, automatically, or through combinations thereof. In certain embodiments, a cargo platform may be positioned within or relative to a vehicle or cargo area and may move translationally, rotationally, vertically, laterally, longitudinally, or through compound movement between a cargo position, raised position, extended position, retracted position, side-stowed position, or another position.
