“Post” refers to an elongate structural member or edge that extends from a surface or base of a structure toward another region, such as between a base corner and an upper vertex, to provide spacing, support, alignment, or positioning. A post may form part of a solid body, such as an edge of a three-dimensional feature, or may be defined as a projection extending outward from a base or surface. A post may have a circular, polygonal, rectilinear, curved, or irregular cross-sectional shape, may be solid or hollow, and may be straight, tapered, or curved. Posts may function as supports, connectors, projections, edges, or guides, depending on the instrument design. Examples include the edges of a pyramidal rasp tooth, upright supports of a rasp feature extending from a base, or elongate stems of a structural frame, or the like.
