“Continuous Perfusion” refers to a type of organ perfusion in which the perfusion process, method, apparatus, system, and/or protocol operates without interruption, stoppage, or break. “Continuous Perfusion” can also refer to a perfusion process, method, apparatus, system, and/or protocol that includes an interruption, stoppage, or break, but the interruption, stoppage, or break is so small or so short that it has substantially no or little impact on the viability of a perfused organ. Alternatively, or in addition, “Continuous Perfusion” can also refer to a perfusion process, method, apparatus, system, and/or protocol that includes an interruption, stoppage, or break, but the interruption, stoppage, or break designed to overlap with a natural break or relaxation phase of an existing perfusion process, method, apparatus, system, and/or protocol.
