"Software" refers to any form of instructions that a machine or device can accept and can implement the features, functions, or operations specified in the instructions. Software includes both machine-readable instructions, human readable instructions, and instructions that are both human and machine readable. Examples of software include, but are not limited to, binary code, machine code, microcode, firmware, scripts, compiled code, source code, and the like.
