As used herein, "texture," "textures," or "textured surface" refers to a technique or a material, compound, mixture, chemical, or fluid applied to a surface for the purpose of creating a desired look, pattern, design, arrangement, or configuration on top of the surface. Often, the surface is a flat or planar surface, but the surface can also be non-planar. The pattern, look, design, arrangement, or configuration created by the texture can vary based on a desired finish for the surface. "Texture" refers to both manually applied textures such as hand textures as well as machine, or mechanically, applied textures such as spray textures. "Texture" may include a variety of types including smooth uniform types or patterns as well as non-uniform, erratic, unpredictable, and/or random patterns or shapes or designs formed by the material applied to the surface to create a desired texture. Examples of textures include, but are not limited to, "hand trowel finish", "old world trowel finish", "holy smooth", "level 5 smooth", "santa fe", "skip-trowel", "stomp brush", "slap brush", "rose bud", "crow’s feet", "stipple", "knockdown", or the like.
