As used herein, a "contacting surface" refers to a surface of a cam that contacts a follower. The orientation, placement, and position of the contacting surface can vary with the type of cam being used. In embodiments that use a radial cam the radial cam can have a central axis and the contacting surface can be a surface of the cam that follows a circumference of the radial cam about the central axis.
