Full Desc
"On-chip copy" refers to an operation that moves or copies data from a source storage block to a destination storage block such that the data remains within one or more memory die that are tasked to perform the on-chip copy. In certain embodiments, on-chip copy may be implemented by reading physical pages within each memory die of a non-volatile memory array into a page buffer within the respective memory die and then writing the physical pages into a destination storage block on the same memory die.
