"Programming voltage" refers to a voltage level configured change a characteristic of a memory cell from a first state (often, an erased state) to a second state. A program voltage may also be referred to as a write voltage.In certain embodiments, the memory cells may comprise transistors and the programming voltage is a voltage level at, or above which, a threshold voltage for the memory cell changes to a new level.
