Full Desc
"Successive bit" refers to a next bit in a binary encoding that progressively evaluates each bit in a binary code in a predefined order. In one embodiment, each bit of a binary encoding is evaluated starting with a most significant bit, then a next most significant bit, in sequence until a least significant bit is evaluated.
