The inferior side 1922 may be custom contoured to match the shapes of one or more of the surfaces of the first cuneiform and/or the first metatarsal. In one embodiment, the inferior side 1922 may include a bone engagement surface 1924. The bone engagement surface 1924 can be shaped to match a first surface of a first bone and a second surface of a second bone of a joint.
