The navigation system factor 406 is a factor that is based on the type of navigation system being used by the user for the navigation. Specifically, if the navigation system is one implemented using a handheld or portable device the navigation system factor 406 may have a first weight and/or preference for a certain orientation mode. Alternatively, or in addition, if the navigation system is a single purpose navigation system built into a vehicle or public transport, for example, the navigation system factor 406 may have a second weight and/or preference for a certain orientation mode.
