FIG. 6 illustrates an alternative embodiment of the invention in which a description 422a is presented both visually and audibly. The description 422a may include alternative audible messages 602, 604, 606 to assist the speaker of a language other than the default language of the remote control 106. These messages 602, 604, 606 may be played on a speaker associated with the television 104, the STB 102, or another suitable location.
