The distal end 208 may include a first coupling 216. The first coupling 216 is configured and/or arranged to engage with the adapter 204. The first coupling 216 enables longitudinal forces and/or torsional forces placed on the adapter 204 to transfer to the distal end 208 for deployment of the intramedullary nail 202.
