MWCNTs may include carbon nanotubules (diameter <100nm). Concentric arrangement of these tubules – one tubule inside a larger one – distinguishes MWCNTs from single-walled carbon nanotubules. These MWCNTs may be arranged in parallel. Compressive forces acting perpendicular to the tubules will generate an electrical charge.
