In certain embodiments, once the storage cell configuration module 506 configures a set of storage cells with a configuration parameter in response to a startup operation, the set of storage cells retain the configuration parameter until a shutdown operation and a subsequent startup operation, or the like. How a set of storage cells retain configuration parameters may vary depending on the type of configuration parameter, the architecture of the set of storage cells, and the like.
