Once the patient-specific device design apparatus 450 determines the set of medical imaging 1030 for processing by an autosegmentor (e.g., segmentor 1020), the patient-specific device design apparatus 450 may configure and/or instruct and/or direct the autosegmentor (e.g., segmentor 1020) to process the determined set of medical imaging 1030 and/or to generate output files 1404 that are configured to satisfy requirements for a medical procedure to be performed on the patient. For example, if the medical procedure for a patient is for an Evans osteotomy or a Lapidus procedure the patient-specific device design apparatus 450 may direct the segmentor 1020 to segment the medical imaging 1030 in a manner that is most favorable to creating bone models and/or patient-specific devices for this procedure. The result of this processing may be the output files 1404 generated by the segmentor 1020.
