Figure 26B illustrates a stage in the surgical osteotomy procedure (e.g., a Zadik osteotomy) in which a wedge resection has been performed. Fasteners 2012 can serve to engage the proximal and distal parts of the calcaneus 1806 after the resection and/or for subsequent repositioning of the proximal and distal parts of the calcaneus 1806.
