In certain embodiments, the appendage 1502 can be shaped like a hook to engage a surface or structure of a bone. Alternatively, or in addition, the tendon trajectory guide 1320 may include an appendage 1502 on each side, together the appendage 1502 can engage one or more landmarks of the bone such that the surgeon can accurately position and register the tendon trajectory guide 1320 to the bone.
