Modern techniques may include preoperative planning, simulation, or even practice using computer models, 3D printed models, virtual reality systems, augmented reality systems or the like. However, simulations and models are still different from actually positioning a resection guide on a patient’s bone, joint, or body part during the procedure. System 700 can include a number of features, including patient-specific features, to assist the surgeon with the positioning.
