The cutting guide 300 may be designed to facilitate resection of the first cuneiform 210 and the first metatarsus 230 with planar cuts at the proper angles to provide dual-plane correction of the orientation of the first metatarsus 230, thereby providing correction in the lateral direction 260 and in the plantar direction 280 or the dorsal direction 290.
