Method 1700 may include additional implementations, such as any single implementation or any combination of implementations described below and/or in connection with one or more other processes described elsewhere herein. A first implementation, method 1700 further includes removing a guard pin of a bone engagement feature before removing the resection guide; and reinserting the guard pin into a channel of the second bone fragment after removing the resection guide. The guard pin may be reinserted into the channel of the second bone fragment before the second bone fragment is moved. The channel of the second bone fragment may be formed by the guard pin inserted before removing the resection guide.
