As shown in FIG. 17, method 1700 may include removing a resection guide from two or more anchor pins that engage a first bone fragment (block 1702). This can be done for example by sliding the resection guide towards the free ends of the two or more anchor pins. For example, osteotomy system may remove a resection guide from two or more anchor pins that engage a first bone fragment, as described above.
